Diabetes

Diabetes (diabetes mellitus) is a diverse group of diseases joint by the insufficient function or lack of insulin resulting in a high level of blood sugar (hyperglycemia). Most commonly, diabetes is associated with obesity and the so-called metabolic syndrome.
